For those of you looking for longevity in a flower purchase don’t buy tulips, daffodils and hyacinths already blooming at full-tilt. You will miss the chance to watch them grow and this is half of the fun after all. To avoid this, purchase your cut or potted bulb flowers when the blooms are tight and green so you can enjoy the entire growing cycle.
Tip: Did you know bulb flowers can grow several inches after being harvested and reposition themselves in arrangements in just a short period of time? A gentle reminder that nature cannot tamed.
